Events.
The events at APERM / ARPEM are structured to serve two main purposes: networking/community building and professional development/education.
The Professional Mixer.
Frequency: Every other month (e.g., January, March, May).
Format: Informal "5 à 7" (Happy Hour) or a casual gathering.
Atmosphere: Relaxed, social, and low-pressure. Typically held at a bar, café, or co-working space downtown.
Goal: Facilitate simple connection, socializing, and the exchange of business cards. It is designed for members to meet new people in the community and expand their professional circle in a relaxed setting.
The Knowledge Workshop.
Frequency: Every other month (e.g., February, April, June).
Format: A structured presentation (90 minutes) followed by a dedicated Q&A session (30 minutes).
Atmosphere: Formal and focused, usually held in a dedicated conference room or training space.
Goal: Deliver concrete, actionable professional value specific to the Quebec context. Examples of topics include:
Navigating the Quebec Tax System for Entrepreneurs.
Accessing Government Grants and Funding (BDC, Investissement Québec).
Legal Structure and Incorporating a Business in Quebec.
French Language Requirements in the Professional Sphere.




The Signature Gala.
Frequency: Once a year
Format: A semi-formal or formal dinner/cocktail reception.
Atmosphere: Prestigious and high-visibility, often featuring a high-profile keynote speaker (e.g., a politician, business leader, or notable figure from the Romanian community).
Goal: To celebrate the association's achievements, attract major sponsors, and recognize members or community leaders with awards. It is the primary membership and branding highlight event.
Annual General Meeting.
Frequency: Once a year.
Format: A formal business meeting, legally required for non-profit governance.
Goal: To maintain transparency and legal compliance. Members receive financial reports, ratify any changes to the bylaws, and formally elect the Board of Directors.
